The Bighorn Family Float is the perfect introductory whitewater rafting trip for families with young children! This stretch covers a milder stretch of Bighorn Sheep Canyon, giving your kids a thrill for Colorado Rafting. There are several fun class II-II+ rapids on this stretch and the opportunity to stop and swim in the Arkansas River. You and your family will love this trip!

What to Expect

Our Family Float trips depart twice a day from both of our locations and cover 10 Miles of river. You will have the opportunity to jump off of a rock or take a swim in the Arkansas River at one of our riverside swimming locations. We will also have pictures available, for purchase, after the trip of you and your crew getting soaked in some of the rapids.

Your young ones will enjoy the thrill of getting slashed by the rapids on this easy Bighorn Family Float trip. With small Class II-II+ rapids on this section of river, this trip is perfect for beginners as young as 3 years old! Your kids will love jumping off of rocks and taking a plunge into the river at one of our swimming locations. With the gentleness of this section, be on the lookout for the Bighorn Sheep, Blue Herons, and Geese that populate the landscape of this Canyon.
